The Highlands and Islands Students' Association is a charity and membership organisation. We have Staff and Officers at offices across Scotland who work our day to day activities including events, campaigns and student voice.
We also have a Trustee Board which is the highest decision making body of the organisation which ensures that we are compliant, financially sustainable and following the direction of our Strategic Plan.
This Trustee Board is made up of the following people:
- Four External Trustees who volunteer their expertise and experience in legal, risk and finance.
- Three Student Trustees who are current students and provide their perspective on the work of the Students' Association.
- Two Cross-Campus Officers who lead the work of the Students' Association including the President who chairs both the Trustee Board and the Executive Committee.
