Wendy has over 20 years of experience in Finance and 25 years in Operations at various levels. Having spent some time studying Divinity at Edinburgh University, Wendy went on to complete courses at Inverness College and then studied English and Psychology at Aberdeen University.
She got her start in finance while working for a large construction company in America and was soon managing the finance and compliance for projects worth millions of dollars. She went on to start and run her own accounting and tax service business for over 10 years and tendered to work for HISA as a consultant in 2021. After a successful period working as a consultant, she felt she had found a group of people and a cause that was worth going back into employment, and decided to apply for the role of Operations Manager within HISA’s Senior Management Team. She was promoted to her current role in 2023.
Today she supports the organisation by overseeing finance, facilities, compliance, HR and general operations for the charity. She is also a strong supporter of Neurodiversity in the workplace.
